Heal the world, make It a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race.

Happy belated Earth Hour!
I was all pro Earth Hour till they actually
started it.
What conjob.

Anyway, I got to Sunway Pyramid at around 7.00 p.m
along with Jamie and her friend, whose name I can't
remember right now.
I just got them them there as they had no transport.
When I got there I went to meet up with Aryan and we
both went to the main entrance to check the whole event out.

There were so freaking many lights and stuff that uses
electricity to promote Earth Hour, that if they didn't even
organize Earth Hour, It would use the same amount of energy.
Think about it, so many EXTRA lights and sounds just to shut
them off for an hour?
Not worth it.
And it gets worse, trust me.

Just when we thought it'd be a nice outing,
one by one, everyone started canceling to the
point where it was only me and Aryan left,
like we were on a freaking date.
Thank god Karven and her friends came a little
later on.

We just went to the board where I signed my name
and took some pictures.

The Earth Hour board.

My mark. =P

I marked twice. XP

The back view.

The volunteers.

Then the countdown to switch off the lights
started, and I was really excited.
And then.....!
Only the Sphinx's head section went out.
The other lights at both ends and inside were
still on.
Oh, killjoy!
-.-

Lights under the Sphinx.

The not-so-total darkness.

Then they proceeded to start the event on
stage, which WAS LIT!
-.-
OMFG.
And they had mics and speakers too!
Like WTF?
Doesn't this beat the purpose of the whole event?
Aih, so anyway, that ugly wannabe host who I will not
name was the emcee for the event. She still talks
like some china-woman.
I don't know how she won that next VJ competition.

Moving on, the show started with speeches and all,
bla bla bla, no one was listening. Then this 14 year
old girl recited her own poem on stage about global
warming or something.

Midway through, she forgot her poem, started smiling,
told her whole crowd she forgot her lines, reached into
her pocket, took out the poem, and started reading.
Don't get me wrong, I give her the credit for having the
chops to get up on a public stage and do something, but
I think she should have been a little more prepared.
But good on you (whoever you are).

Then a bunch of dudes with barrels, paint tins,
cans, and cooking utensils did a drum show thingy,
which I found very interesting. Turned out to be
the best show of the night in my opinion.

People with lighters and candles in hand.

Glowing drummer dudes.

Very very good performance.

Then there was this kind of insulting performance.
Hear me out, ok?
The host said the next performance were by these kids
from some school, and they were going to 'sing'
"we are the world" by only using sign language.
So I thought ok cool.

Then they came on stage and started moving their hands
from side to side and tracing a circle in the air.
And I was thinking to myself, that's not fucking sign
language, that's a fucking insult to people who are
audibly impaired!

So called sign language show.

Random shot of police dude, with his lights ON.

Then I think we all had enough of the whole thing
and went to Rasta for a late dinner. The 'legendary'
J.A.K.E were in my car, all of them, all the way to
Rasta, and I SURVIVED!
Ahahahaha! XD
Poor dude that came with Karven had to ride with
Aryan as my car was full. =P

Anyway, we all ate when we got there as all of us
were super hungry.
Some of Karven's friends came a little later on too.
And we did a little shisha-ing.
By this time I was kinda tired so Aryan, James and
myself took a relatively early leave at around 11.30 pm
and headed home.

James.

Very lady-like Karven. =P

Aryan was happy 'cos he got something for free. =P

Karven and Jun Elle

All in all, was an OK stress buster day out,
but for the cause?
It was a total waste of time.
