The mystery of love

If you find yourself in love with
someone who does not love you, be
gentle with yourself. There is nothing
wrong with you. Love just didn't
choose to rest in the other person's
heart.

If you find someone else in love with
you and you don't love him/her, feel
honoured that love came and called at
your door, but gently refuse the gift
you cannot return, do not take
advantage, do not cause pain.

How you deal with love is how you deal
with you, and all our hearts feel the
same pains and joys, even if our lives
and ways are different.

If you fall in love with another, and
he/she falls in love with you, and
then love chooses to leave, do not try
to reclaim it or put blame on someone,
let
it go. There is a reason and there is
a meaning. You will know in time.

Remember that you don't choose love.
Love chooses you. All you can really
do is accept it for all its mystery
when it comes into your life. Feel the
way it fills your heart, then
reach out and give it away.

Give it back to the person who brought
it alive in you. Give it to others who
deem it poor in spirit. Give it to the
world around you in anyway you can.
This is where many lovers go wrong.
Having been so long without love, they
understand love only as a need. They
see their hearts as empty places that
will be filled by love, and they begin
to look at love as something that
flows to them rather than from them.

The first blush of new love is filled
with miracles, but as their love
cools, they revert to seeing their
love as need. They cease to be someone
who generates love and instead become
someone who seeks love.

They forget that the secret of love is
that it is a gift, and that it can be
made to grow only by giving it away.

Remember this, and keep it to your
heart. Love has its own time, its own
seasons, and its own reason for coming
and going. You cannot bribe it or
coerce it, or reason it into staying.
You can only embrace it when it
arrives and give it away when it comes
to you. But if it chooses to leave
from your heart or from the heart of
your lover, there is nothing you can
do and there is nothing you should do.

Love always has been and always will
be a mystery. Be glad that it came to
live for a moment in your life.

=)

~Because I have loved life, I shall
have no sorrow to die.

~I love my past. I love my present.
I'm not ashamed of what I've had, and
I'm not sad because I have it no
longer.

~Love doesn't make the world
go 'round; love is what makes the ride
worthwhile.

~Better to have loved and lost, than
to have never loved at all.

R.I.P

A very dear entertainer, whom I very much look up to, passed away 4 days ago, June 22, 2008, in Santa Monica due to heart failure.
He was 71.

He was none other than

George CarlinBorn on May 12th, 1937,
George Denis Patrick Carlin
was an American stand-up comedian, actor and author.
His works were very much appreciated and enjoyed by the public
and he has won 4 Grammy Awards for his coedic albums to prove it.
He places second in the
Comedy Central Cable Television Network
list of the
10 greatest stnad up comedians.
He also won the Lifetime Achievement Award
in the 15th Annual American Comedy Awards.

Other than being stage comedian,
Gerorge did his fair share of movies.
One of the most recognised was Disney's Cars
where he voiced the character of Fillmore
who has a hippie van.

On June 22, 2008,
Carlin was admitted to St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California after complaining of chest pain.
He died later that day at 5:55 p.m. PDT of heart failure at the age of 71.
Two of the networks he had an influence on changed their schedule in tribute to Carlin.
HBO devoted several hours to broadcast eleven of Carlin's HBO specials on June 25 to June 28, 2008, while NBC scheduled the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live which Carlin guest hosted.

He will forever be missed by us all.

Lead Alert...!

Got this from a blog of a friend of mine, Nawwar. Thought all of you should know.
Thanks Nawwar. =)

LIPSTICK INFORMATION:
Something to consider
Next time you go shopping for Lipstick.
This comes from someone
Who works in the breast cancer unit at
Mt. Sinai Hospital, in Toronto.

From: Dr. Nahid Neman

If there is a female you care anything about,
Share this with her.
Recently a lipstick brand called 'Red Earth'
Decreased their prices from $67 to $9.90.
It contained lead.
Lead is a chemical which causes cancer.

The lipstick brands that contain lead are:
CHRISTIAN DIOR
LANCÔME
CLINIQUE
Y.S.L
SHISEIDO
RED EARTH (Lip Gloss)
CHANEL (Lip Conditioner)
MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK.

The higher the lead content,
The greater the chance of causing cancer.
After doing a test on lipsticks,
It was found that the Y.S.L. Lipstick
Contained the most amount of lead.
Watch out for those lipsticks
Which are supposed to stay longer.
If your lipstick stays longer, it is
Because of the higher content of lead.

Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick colour changes to black,
then you know the lipstick contains lead.

Please send this information to all your girlfriends,
Wives and female family members.

Lol?

You know, nowadays people take their hair very very seriously. The hair care industry is a very lucrative one at the moment, with millions of hair care products and professional saloons.
Average guys, like me, often just go to a barber
unless its a special occasion or something.
A barber shop, like this.

I know business is a cut-throat thing and everyone is trying to gain an edge over the other and all, but look at what I saw on the way home after sending my brother to school.

-.-"

I mean, come on.

Like what's going to happen in there?

Screw while getting a haircut?

If so, I'm surprised that this idea didn't take off a long time ago.

Oh and by the way, doesn't the picture of the scissors remind you of something else in the context of porn?

Coincidence?

;)

Accident

Im FUCKING pissed.
I was happily driving to my brother's school, to pick him up.
Got there, got him and was happily driving back home, when a fucking blind old bitch rammed my car from the other side of the road. -.-"
I tried to brake but I was to late.
There were some security guards from the housing area that saw what happened and came to the accident site.
I got out of the car and went to her while she was calling someone.
I kept quiet you know...then she opened her mouth.
You know what came out?
"Ooooh, kamu punya salah laahh, lu langgar saya..."
At this point, I just lost it.
I started sounding her old ass off.
"Oi, mana ada saya lanngar? Lu tak tengok saya punya kereta kah..Lu..."
I was cut off by the security guard who told me to calm down and that he saw what happened and that it was her fault, not mine.
Then some old guy came laa, told me to chill and that she was a single mother and bla bla bla, I didnt buy any of that shit by the way, and at the end of the day, I settled for RM 200 for a dented side panel and bumper.
Honestly her car was more badly damaged compared to mine, but too bad, who ask her come hit me?
And the worst part was right, that she fucking never apologise to me and admit that it was her fault, like WTF?
I told that old man that and he made her come and apologise to me.
Damn rude lah some people.
Sigh, just spoiled my whole mood.
AAHHHHHHHH...!!!
Im really irritated la.

New Feature

Hey guys, I just decided to put up a new feature in my blog called "Top 5 songs of the week".
You can see it on the right hand corner right above the chatbox.
Starting from this week, I'll post up a list of 5 songs that I feel is worth being mentioned.
The songs vary from very mainstream and commercialised to indie and underground.
The list will change every monday.
Do take a look and try to listen to the songs mentioned.
If you guys have a problem finding some of the songs that are mentioned because they might be really indie or underground, you can always ask me for the song.
If I find out that a lot of people are havin problems finding the songs, I might just post up an actual playlist with the respective songs each week.
Enjoy. =)

Of blonde moments, drinks and friends

Hey ya'll..!
=)
As some of you might know, Ernest turned 18 on the 30th of January. His dear girlfriend, Celine organised a surprise party for him. (how sweet)

I for one was kinda looking forward to it because I could meet up with my old LEO friends whom I have not seen for quite some time. I went to Sunway Pyramid at around 6:30 and met up with Mun Mun who was working at Naf Naf. Shortly after I was joined by Faye who took me last minute birthday shopping for Ernest 'cause we both didn't get him anything...yet. We finally got him golden glittery OriginalFake boxers which matched his lala DVD seller-ish hair. =P

The party was fun. I met lots of my old friends and it was good to see them again. The food was good, the company was great, and I certainly enjoyed myself. It was a good chance to catch up wif the old and meet the new. =)

Happy 18th birthday friend...!

Ermest's Secret Recipe Chocolate Indulgence Birthday Cake. Yum. =)

Me and Jean. =)

Yun and me. Oooh, pretty lights..! XP

This picture really shows how "tall" I am. XP

HAPPY 18th ERNEST...! =)

Enjoy every moment

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask
How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower.
=)

The sunsets in Sweden and the laws of Eden.

You know, some people say they have this father figure or an idol, if you will, that they look up to and idolise for something that they have done or accomplished in their lives. Usually these idols are kinda old and dated, and to most, their idols are their very own fathers. My dad is one of my idols too, but the one person that I truly respect from the bottom of my heart and pay homage to is a young, but VERY talented singer/songwriter/musician, who is (in my opinion) the MOST under-rated artiste in the USA right now. He's a lyrical genius that has a spiritual connection with the words and phrases that he uses in his songs, till the fact that nearly every sentence in his songs have more than one meaning behind them, and not to mention his very original style of delivery where he sings long sentences at a time, very rapidly I might add, making it very difficult for one to imitate. He is none other than the one, and the ONLY...

Jason Mraz

Jason Thomas Mraz (born June 23, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter, born and raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia, a suburb of Richmond. Mraz is an eclectic artist with multiple and varied stylistic influences, including pop, rock, folk, jazz, country, and hip hop/rap.
Mraz graduated from Lee-Davis High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia. After a brief stint studying musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, he moved to San Diego. On the Southern California club scene, Mraz joined percussionist Toca Rivera and his brother, Latin-pop guitarist Carlos Olmeda, in a regular Thursday-night gig at the now-defunct Java Joe's coffee shop—the same venue where fellow musician Jewel played during her early career. In 2001, he married Sheridan Edley; they subsequently divorced. In 2002, Mraz signed to Elektra Records, returning to Virginia to work with producer John Alagía on his major label debut release, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, which would be certified platinum by the RIAA in July 2004 and reach #2 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart. His first single, "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)," was co-written by music production team The Matrix. Mraz's friend and former roommate Billy "Bushwalla" Galewood also collaborated on the album, co-writing "Curbside Prophet", the album's third single, and "I'll Do Anything".

In June and July of 2005, Mraz opened for Alanis Morissette during her Jagged Little Pill Acoustic Tour. On July 26, 2005, he released his second major-label album, Mr. A-Z, for Atlantic Records. It entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 5. In December, the album earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, while its producer, the prolific Steve Lillywhite, received a nomination for Producer of the Year.

Mraz began his long-running tour in support of Mr. A-Z at the San Diego Music Awards on September 12. The tour featured a variety of opening acts, including Bushwalla and Tristan Prettyman, with whom he had co-written the duet "Shy That Way" in 2002. Mraz and Prettyman dated briefly, co-writing the song "All I Want For Christmas is Us."
In November, Mraz opened for the Rolling Stones on five dates during their 2005–2006 world tour. Also in 2005, Mraz was one of many singers featured in the fall advertisement campaign for The Gap entitled "Favorites." The music-themed campaign also featured other singers including Michelle Branch, Joss Stone, Keith Urban, Alanis Morissette, Brandon Boyd, and Michelle Williams. In December 2005, Mraz released the first part of his ongoing podcast.

In March, Mraz also performed for the first time at a sold-out (one month before the actual performance date) performance in Singapore with Toca as part of the annual Mosaic Music Festival.

In October 2005 Mraz did an interview with High Times Magazine in which he claims that "Pot laws don’t exist in our world" referring to himself and his band. He also claims that producer Steve Lillywhite would tell him and his bandmates to take LSD over the weekend to gain perspective and creativity.

In May 2006, Mraz toured mostly small venues and music festivals in the U.S., along with a few shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The tour included a May 6 acoustic show with P.O.D., Better Than Ezra, Live, and The Presidents. Mraz was featured as a headlining guest of St. Louis's annual Fair St. Louis and performed a free concert at the base of the Arch on July 1, 2006.

In December 2006, "Selections For Friends," the live, online-only album recorded during the Songs For Friends Tour, was released. "Selections For Friends" features Jason's favorite songs from the Schubas Tavern and Villa Montalvo shows he played in July 2006. Schubas Tavern featured a stripped down solo performance, while Villa Montalvo was an unplugged full band show.

Owh, and little known fact, especially for "Ugly Betty" fans, Jason Mraz began 2007 by debuting his new single "The Beauty in Ugly," an earlier track penned by Mraz entitled "Plain Jane" that he rewrote for the ABC TV show Ugly Betty. The song was featured as a part of ABC's "Be Ugly in '07" campaign, which sought to promote self-esteem in women. He has since released a song in Spanish entitled "La Nueva Belleza (The New Beauty)." Carlos Olmeda helped him with the Spanish lyrics.

If you wanna check him out, feel free to do so on you tube and etc. If you guys are interested in his songs and want them, you can just give me a buzz and I'll provide them to you as most of his greatest hits are hard to find and cannot be downloaded from Ares/Limewire, etc.
My favourite top 5 Jason Mraz hits are:
5) The Remedy
4) Plane
3) Curbside prophet
2) I'm yours
1) 0% Interest

PS: You guys simply HAVE to at least give these 5 songs a listen, especially 0% Interest. As I said, if you want, I will provide you the songs. Then you'll know why I admire him so much. Jason is also the SOLE inspirer to my music and is THE reason I started writing my own songs.
=)

On a lighter note, I'm missing my girlfriend. I know, its cheesy, but I do ok?
You all jealous ke? =P
Lol..
But yea, she is in form 5 now and has to study. I understand all that, but sometimes, I just cant help but miss her. =/
But hey, it's only for a year, so yea, I'll wait. =)
Baby. if you're reading this, you know I want you to get enough sleep everyday and pay attention in school.
I love you boo.. =)

There we go all over again.

Happy New Year...!!!

It's already 2008.
Wow...!
2007 passed so damn quickly, it didn't feel like a whole year has passed.
I don't know about you guys but 2007 was a relatively good year for me. I wont get into the details of it but let's just say it was a good year overall.
I'm really hoping 2008 will be a better one, and i'm getting a funny feeling that's sayin it will.
So I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

New year's celebration was just OK lah...
Didn't go out to party and all like I planned it because my cousins had a last minute barbeque party. So I kinda was forced to go there. -.-"
It wasn't THAT bad.
The food was good, and the company was great.
I just hoped I could start the new year of with a big bang.
Oh well...
Owh... you know, I don't really have any resolutions for this year. I'm gonna go with the flow and where ever the flow takes me, thats where I'll be. I don't see the point in havig resolutions. Why plan your lifeout for the whole year...?
I'll just tell myself that I should, work hard and play harder this year, as I feel its gonnabe an eventful one.
So yea.
Well, all the best to everyone for the year ahead. Let's all hope for better things ahead.
Take care and all the best.
Happy 2008!

=)
